Welcome

Welcome to GLEN ELLYN PARADE, a brand, spanking new blog which has its roots in another blog of mine called "Meanwhile, back on Earth . . ." Dating back to 2007, "Meanwhile, back on Earth . . ." has covered and continues to cover an eclectic array of topics including acting, improv, advertising, the arts and politics, along with bad haiku and other bits of gibberish.

About a year ago, amongst all the other diverse stuff I post there, I began to feature original photo impressions of the town where I currently live, Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Over time, these have sort of taken over to the extent that they now deserve to reside in a blog of their own. To get things off to a good start, over the next several days I will be re-posting relevant Glen Ellyn entries from the past year's blog into this new blog, GLEN ELLYN PARADE. This should be completed by Thanksgiving so that I can begin posting new stuff for the holidays.
